Prince William is scheduled to attend the United Nations climate conference in Brazil in the coming weeks, according to royal officials.
Prince William and King Charles made a joint appearance on Thursday evening at a reception leading up to the climate summit, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belém.
The royal pair were in attendance at the scientific institution event, marking an unusual joint appearance at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the British authorities.
Environmental Advocacy Dedication
King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of protecting nature - and Prince William has taken on the baton, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be held in Brazil preceding the UN meeting.
Palace insiders have characterized Prince William's attendance at the forthcoming conference as taking on an significant responsibility in "global climate discussions".
